Cookery

So, my husband has started reseraching cookery. How do I know? He baught me some Wuesthof knives. One all purpose cheif knife, and one parring knife. He's also started looking into other equipment that we need.
Some things I've learned from this:
Good knives are worth their price.
You honestly don't know what it's like to cook till you've used some good knives that are properly honed and sharpened, and you are cutting things correctly.
Iron cast skillets are awesome.
I now have one 10 inch, one 12 inch, and a dutch oven. These are now an indispensible part of my kitchen. They are easy to clean too. I know people say not to put water in them, but if you add just a few drops of water to the pan when you clean it with sea salt, it really cleans it up.
A well equiped kitchen makes cooking easier
We actualy got rid of a lot of stuff more than we baught stuff. There was a lot of excess pieces just sitting around clogging up the works. Not only did we get more space, but when you use equipment that is well designed, cooking doesn't feel like such a chore.
